Fixed braces are often used to straighten teeth. They consist of small square brackets stuck to the surface of teeth with special glue.  The brackets are connected to each other with wires.

Fixed Braces   Fixed appliances are the most commonly used braces today, because they allow accurate positioning of the teeth.

The braces are securely fixed onto the teeth and cannot be removed by the patient. There are various systems available ranging from the standard metal brackets to clear or aesthetic brackets.

We also use the latest low-friction systems such as Damon Braces (shown opposite) and In-Ovation R, which reduce treatment time.

Fixed braces need lots of looking after:

You will need to brush your teeth 3 times per day, to prevent food and plaque building up around the brackets, and damaging tooth enamel.
